We have been an ISO9001 accredited (an independent endorsement of a company’s Quality Management System) company since May 1995. We are unreservedly committed to quality, to establish and maintain systems of management that promote excellence, avoid errors and satisfy our customers.
Quality (ISO 9001)
It is the policy of DSL, a Company unreservedly committed to quality, to establish and maintain systems of management that promote excellence, avoid errors and satisfy their customers. The Company’s primary objective is to ensure that all of the Company’s products comply with customer requirements and enhance customer satisfaction. To ensure consistent conformance to the specified requirements, DSL is committed to operating a quality management system (q.m.s.) that satisfies the requirements of ISO 9001. The Q.M.S. will provide a framework that allows DSL to continually improve the effectiveness of its management systems and will be regularly reviewed to check its continual suitability and to affirm the relevance of the quality objectives.Since the management of quality involves every member of staff compliance with the policies and procedures described in the Company’s Quality Manual will be a mandatory requirement for everyone.QUALITY CERTIFICATE
Environmental (ISO 14001):
DSL’s examine the environmental impact of our business activities as a whole and put in place programmes and policies to:
- Protect the environment
- Prevent pollution
- Improve our environmental performance
- Encourage best practice from our employees and those who supply to DSL
Through regular reviews, DSL check that our Environmental Management System, objectives, programmes and policies meet the needs of the business and act accordingly.
Our Environmental Considerations
Our Carbon Footprint:
Transportation of our products come with an inherent carbon footprint, even more so when importing from our Far Eastern partners. When air freight is used, we always consolidate shipments and use global courier companies such as UPS, FedEx and DHL, all of which have their own Environmental policies.
Closer to home, DSLs courier for our UK and European deliveries has a Carbon Neutral Commitment policy whereby they review, reduce and offset their carbon emissions.
Supply chain greening:
As part of our continual improvement, DSL are actively looking to source suppliers who are ISO14001 accredited, or at the very least, have their own environmental policies and can demonstrate adherence to their own commitment. DSL will continue to promote to our supply chain the benefits of thinking about the environment.
Waste stream monitoring:
All waste streams generated by DSL, are identified and continually monitored. To minimise the amount of waste going to landfill, tin, cardboard, plastic and paper is segregated and recycled using local accredited agents. Our waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) is also segregated, recorded and collected by accredited recycling agents. We also offer the mechanics of electronic waste recycling to all our clients.
