This is part of a series of posts where we’ll introduce members of the DSL team, from across the organisation, to put a human face to one of the UK’s leading cradle-to-grave industrial computing and electronics solutions provider.
Tom Scott is the dedicated Sales Manager at DSL, developing relationships with customers both new and old, making sure they have the most suitable solutions for their requirements.
Often a customer’s first point of contact, Tom is knowledgeable and can accurately answer any questions or address concerns. A great planner, Tom coordinates the support and involvement needed from other members of the DSL team, providing clients with a high level of support.
Tom says: “I enjoy taking a customer from an idea to a finished product making sure they get the best possible outcome. I also like the variety of businesses and industries I get to work with and help”.
He joined DSL in 2017 after working in various industries, bringing his account management and customer relations experience with him. He is charismatic, works extremely well with people and has a great sense of humour.
This is evident in his favourite quote which is from the infamous general manager of the Slough branch of Wernham-Hogg, David Brent: “A good idea is a good idea forever”! (The Office).
In his spare time, Tom plays football and online games: “I cling onto the fact that I am probably the greatest footballer you have never seen!
“I’m also building my legacy on ‘mini-clip pool’ playing online pool tournaments, challenging friends to games and having fun!”.
