What is Industrial IoT (IIoT)?

“IIoT” pulls the revolution of bringing internet connectivity to previously isolated devices to our factory floors and harsh environments. Often labelled Industry 4.0, it powers a new era in M2M smart manufacturing which enables businesses to monitor and control devices and productivity from anywhere on the planet.

INTERNET OF THINGS

An IoT Sensor is the instrument physically gathering data, be that temperature, humidity, CO2 levels, and so on. An IoT Gateway acts as the middleman between the cloud (internet) and the sensors, collecting, collating and analysing the sensor outputs then feeding the data up to the cloud.
