The PB945+ With Intel Core Duo Processors

The PB945+ is based on the new high performance Intel Core Duo or Core Solo processors. These CPU's together with the 945GM/ICH7 chipset, give the board staggering performance with a moderate power consumption.

With its two cores the Intel Core Duo processor is optimized for running multiple demanding applications, such as intensive graphics processing or serious number crunching programs.

The mobile Intel 945GM Express chipset's low powered design enables up to 28% less average power consumption then previous chipsets.

Using the Intel Graphics accelerator GMA950 video controller the graphic performances has been improved by 100% percent over the previous controller. It can support 18/24/36/48Bit LVDS's with a resolution up to 1600x1200, resulting in a ultra sharp image quality.

For applications demanding high speed data storage the unit is provided with SATA interfaces that have a data transfer rate up to 3GB/s! IDE interfaces are also supported if this is the preferred option.

Other features provided as standard on the PB945+ include Dual high speed LAN (1 x 10/100, 1 x 10/100/1000 mbps), 4 x USB 2.0 ports, floppy, AC'97 audio and 2 x serial interfaces. Operating system support includes Windows 2000, XP, XP Embedded, Server 2003, Vista and Linux.
