Whilst putting your feet up and gorging on endless mince pies is fast becoming a distant memory, DSL have been working tirelessly on a range of exciting new things to negate that January trudge, when enthusiasm can sometimes start to wane!

Our commitment to the latest embedded operating systems certainly hasn't waned. We are pleased to announce we have already begun integration of the new Windows 7 Embedded (WES 2011) 'Quebec' platform to a number of products and as a result expect to start shipping WES 2011 pre-installed a matter of days after the official release date (Q2 2010).

Enhancing our commitment beyond the truly embedded world, DSL’s range of complete systems, spanning rugged Industrial PCs to fully integrated touchscreen Panel PCs will be available with Windows 7 from February 2010.

In addition this year we expect to release a new Dual Core PC/104 module, based on the tried and tested low power Sempron Mobile platform. Being designed and manufactured in the UK, integration support will be available from the designers themselves.

DSL will also be premiering a new range of single board computers based on our new 1GHz, ultra low power CPU. The CPU, available in two exciting flavours: “Commercial” enabling low cost Thin Clients, routers etc and “Industrial” with the world's first internal, fully integrated video and audio. This avoids the usual temperature issue of having separate components and allows -40 to +85°c operation!
