The Design Process
There are several key stages during the design period. These are detailed below:
All projects begin with the customer’s requirement for a product. This may be formalised in a document, or expressed through dialog. A formal requirements definition provides the basis for consulting suppliers.
These act as answers to the requirements definition: It outlines, using a
project plan, our understanding of the customer’s requirement, our estimates
regarding project costing(s) and the timescales involved..
Finally, once all the above stages are complete, the Design Specification will be created. This provides the customer with a detailed overview of the design that we will undertake.
